"Andi Unstoppable" by Amanda Flower

About this book:

  “Andi Boggs and her best friend Colin Carter are at it again … in this third book of the Andi Boggs series, Andi Unstoppable, school has begun for the two Killdeer middle schoolers and the science teacher has a great idea! He is an expert birder and wants his class to share in the fun. In a birding group with Colin and her biggest school rival, Ava, Andi sets out to be the first student in class to spot the elusive Kirtland's warbler but ends up spotting the town’s resident ghost instead!
  Together with her friends, Andi takes on another small town mystery—is the legend of the ghost of Dominika Shalley more than just a story? And does her sudden appearance have anything to do with the holes the friends find in the Shalley graveyard as they look for the rare bird?”

Series: Book #3 in the “Andi Boggs” series. {Books #1 review Here! Book #2 review Here!}

Spiritual Content- Mentions of Church; Going to Church once;
*Note: The cover has a headstone and a shadow (?) of a ghost on it; All about a ghost and many, many, many mentions of her; A mention of coexisting with a “real ghost”.

Negative Content- Minor cussing including: a ‘blasted’, a ‘suck up’, a ‘wimp’, a ‘yeesh’, two ‘geez’s, two forms of ‘shut up’, two ‘stupid’s and four forms of ‘dumb’; Name-calling by an adult woman towards a grown man (windbag & pompous jerk); Andi & Ava are rivals; Many mentions of the Civil War and deaths (blunt, up to semi-detailed);
             *Note: Aunt Amelie does yoga.

Sexual Content- Bethany blushes when a certain boy talks/flirts to her;
             *Note: “I fell backwards onto my butt..”; A mention of birds mating.

My personal Rating-

{Lowered for lack of Spiritual Content}
I’m a bit confused at the copyright page…it shows the copyright of the NIV Bible, yet no Scriptures are mentioned nor quoted in “Andi Unstoppable”, much to my dismay. I liked the first two Andi books much better than this one, due to the whole ghost thing, but I did like learning more about Ava.

See y’all on Monday with a new review!
