"The Distant Beacon" by Janette Oke & T. Davis Bunn

About this book:

“Anne's sorrow over her husband's death has been eased by the unexpected discovery of his heritage in the Harrow family and by her marriage to a brilliant young theologian. But Nicole is as restless as ever and has decided to return to North America. Should she go to the Acadian family of her childhood in Louisiana's bayous? Or should she settle in Nova Scotia near her birth parents? The American colonies are in revolt against England, and Uncle Charles asks her to go to Massachusetts to oversee his extensive landholdings. The attentions of the ship's captain during the crossing touch a yearning deep within her, but she also realizes all her loyalties are about to be tested. Is she French? Is she English? Is she a supporter of the American cause? Nicole's unique legacy will allow her to play an extraordinary role in the unfolding historic events, but will she be able to find a home for her heart?”

Oh my goodness! This—I—she—ahhh! Wow, just wow. Ahem.
This series is unbelievable (in a good way) on how clean is it! Like I said in the first book in this series’ review, I would love to see more authors in the Christian Fiction world like Janette Oke! So clean and full of Spiritual Content, now that’s a good read.

See y’all on Wednesday with a new review!

About this book:

“The Thread Binding Them Together As Sisters Is All Too Fragile...
The bittersweet reunion of the Robichaud family and the Harrows in the land of the Acadians has brought two mothers and two daughters full circle. They rekindle those early bonds and experience restoration of those lost years, but time and tragedy have left their indelible imprints on all who have endured the decades of separation and uncertainty. Moving forward with their lives now means further farewells--not as devastating as the one long ago, but no less heart wrenching.

About this book:

“In This Intimate Historical Epic, the Heart-wrenching Dilemmas of The Meeting Place Come to Rest on...The Sacred Shore
Oceans and circumstances have forced families apart. For the banished French Acadians drifting in exile, the shore means safety--though it is a safety at a terrible price. For the lonely British nobleman, the shore holds a single chance to secure his legacy. For Andrew and Catherine Harrow, the shore marks a tragic separation.
An extraordinary set of journeys awaits them all, each as intricate and perilous as the coastline itself. New beginnings are connected to all that has come before. At first I was a bit taken back that this novel is set eighteen years after book #1, “The Hiding Place, but once I got over that, I really enjoyed it! Not as much as the first book in the series, but I still was in awe of all the Spiritual Content and lack of Sexual Content!

See y’all on Friday with a new review!
