About

Hi, I'm Lindsey and I'm a teenage girl who likes loves to read. I've noticed that when you search 'Good Books for Christian Girls' you don't get much. The Bible, of course, 'Christy Miller' (Amazing, By the way) & 'Left Behind: The Kids' (Good as well, but has some blood scenes..) to name the most popular ones. Other than those, the rest aren't Christian.

I enjoy a Good Christian novel with a touch of romance in it. I'll put in my review if there's a lot of kissing/blood/questionable scenes.

Some of the books I review may not be for 10/11 year olds. (If your 10/11, or have a daughter who's that age, check out 'Camp Club Girls' & 'Mandie', two of my favorites.)

Anything under 'Christian book' I'll most likely read... Mysteries, Christian Romance, Tween (&Teen) books, Historical, Amish books, etc. (But I don’t do Christian Thriller or Christian Vampires (yes, there is such a thing!)) Most books I read are for adults or young adult, I feel like there's more "depth" there then in a Teen novel...I've learned that some should be just for adults and that some are good and clean that they can be read by Teens (or sometimes Tweens). Please don't just stick to reading my reviews of Teen & Tween books, check my rating and finally thoughts of the book then read about the book...you might just find a new favorite book!

Books I review will most always have been bought by me & my family, others I might have gotten for free from the publisher or author (which will be said at the very end of my review). All in all, I'll give an honest review. ;)

Are you an author looking for a fabulous book reviewer? Please make sure your book fits our guidelines:
A Christian book that: has no s*x scenes, major cussing, and/or detailed blood parts. Those are not optional. Must be at least 122 pages long. Also, I don't review books that mess with spirits, demons, angles, etc.
Would you feel comfortable giving this book to a sensitive high-schooled girl (which, would be me.)? Please note, if your book is written for adults or young adults…I can guarantee that you will get a one star rating in at least one of ratings (out of five) because this blog is for girls ages 9-19!

Please remember, my goal is never to make an author cry, sad or mad! I simply compare the written words to Philippians 4:8.

Also, when I get a new book to review I most likely do not read it right away. Normally there’s anywhere between 5-18 books to be read before I finally get to that one.
As of January 2017, the turn-a-round time (from the time it’s in my hands from the time I post my review) is:
    •   PAPERBACKS: 2-3 months
    •   E-BOOKS: 3-4 months
If you feel like your book could pass these rules and you’re in no super hurry, feel free to e-mail us at  booksforchristiangirls (at) yahoo (dot) com   .

    3. Hi, Lindsey. I'm Esther . . . 16 y/o homeschooler, book lover, and an obsessive fiction writer. :) I saw your American Girl post on the Avid Readers of Christian Fiction group on Facebook, and I soon found this blog through that. Let me just say that this is awesome! I love the website and the endless amounts of info on here (not to mention, it's nice finding a teenager girl with the exact same reading tastes)! I work for a review website (Clash Entertainment), writing Christian teen reviews. Recently, I've felt called to start a similar website for children. I just remember being a little kid with not many reading options, so I want to promote Christian fiction to other kids. Finding your website was a big encouragement into helping me get started. Thanks so much!

    4. I just saw your poston FB about your blog and I have to say, though I'm over the target age your appealing too, I am impressed with this blog already! I have friends and know a lot of girls (and I'm sure their parents) in this age range that would love this.

I never got to read the Christy Miller books but I loved reading the Left Behind Kids (still not finished) when I was growing up!

God bless and I can't wait to take a longer browse around!

    6. Hi Lindsey! This blog is great; it's so annoying to start reading a Christian book expecting it to be clean, but then it gets too heavy on the romance or whatever. I appreciate your detailed descriptions of all that!

I'm wondering if you accept Christian fantasy. If you do, I'd like to submit one of my books to you!

    7. Hi there!
My name is Halee, and I am a representative for Crown of Beauty Magazine. I was surfing the net for beautiful, encouraging, uplifting blogs, and I’m so happy that I found yours! It’s seriously amazing, I love it. <3 Keep up the amazing work!

      The reason that I wanted to send you a message, is because our magazine would love to partner with you. Our founder, Livy, just released a brand new book called Secrets of Royalty, which is all about discovering your royal identity in Christ. It seems like something your readers would really resonate with. We’ve been setting up a fun little blog tour, and we’d love for your blog to get involved, if you’re interested! <3 There are several ways you can get involved;

One way would be, a guest post swap. Your lovely little blog, and Crown of Beauty could swap posts!

Another idea, is to interview our founder! She’s really passionate about reaching young women & it might be something your readers really enjoy.

Or, you could even do a little review for Secrets of Royalty. You could read some sample chapters, or the entire thing (whatever floats your boat) then post about your thoughts.

Are you interested in be a part of our little Blog Tour? If so, what sounds the most fun? We’d love for you to! <3

Looking forward to hearing from you,
      Halee

    9. Hello,
My 12 year old daughter devours books faster than myself if that is even possible. Mine are all Christian but I feel a little too mature still for her. This website just became a huge answer to prayer. I can finally get a general idea of a book that she is interested in before I actually buy it for her. I just wanted to say thank you so much for putting your time into this. There is so little info out there about young adult Christian fiction. I am thrilled that she can continue to read safe books. Thanks again!
