"Flip Flop" by Wendy Lawton

About this book:

“Best Friends Channing “Chickie” Wells and Briana Harris know everything about each other—at least, that’s what Chickie thinks. But Briana keeps her biggest fears locked away.
Chickie comes from an almost-perfect family, and Briana loves being the adopted second daughter. She eats dinner at the Wells home more than her own—it’s a welcome refuge from the pain and secrets in her family. But when the highly rated TV decorating sensation, Flip Flop comes to town, there’s more than one dramatic “reveal.” Will Briana have the courage to face her problems head on? And will Chickie and Briana’s bedroom makeovers give them the rooms of their dreams of stuff of nightmares?”

Like the first book in the series, I found it to be a good read with quite a bit of Spiritual Content…don’t like the cover at all though. :/

"Changing Faces" by Wendy Lawton

About this book:

“Senior year = one word: STRESS.
Stressed to the max in her senior year, Olivia O’Donnell fills every spare moment of her week with frenetic activity. Aiming to be valedictorian, homework is top on her priority list, but she always manages to find time to watch Changing Faces with her best friend since kindergarten, Jane Broga—at least it used to be always. Lately, Olivia is so consumed by her day planner checklists that the most important people in her life are somehow getting inched out of her harried schedule. To make matters worse, Jane strikes up a friendship with Olivia’s longtime archenemy, Aubrey Ainsley. Will Olivia hit a breaking point when she unexpectedly starts volunteering at a homeless shelter in order to clinch the valedictorian spot? Can she learn to have compassion for others who don’t seem to try as hard as she does? And when Changing Faces comes into her life, will it drive a wedge between Olivia and Jane or draw them close again?”

My personal Rating-

These past couple of days, I re-read this series as my first reviews (dating back to two years ago this month!) were on the old rating system. My opinion of the series didn’t really change; but I think I enjoyed this one a bit more because I totally get the stressing thing now. ;)  I do wish it was a bit longer and didn’t end so quick.

See y’all on Wednesday with a new review!
