{Welcome
to Pre-Teen Week! Every quarter we’re going to try to do a full week dedicated
to finding great Christian books for girls ages 8/9-12 every week day! This is
Day Three of this quarters’!} {Day 1 Here!} {Day 2 Here!}
About this book:
“When Rosie, Carrie, and Grandma are asked to help out at Last Chance Corral, a horse and foal rescue, Rosie is shocked when she experiences firsthand how cruel some people can be to animals. During the week at Last Chance, the girls learn that the God who knows when a sparrow falls to the ground works through the kindness of others to provide for the animals He created. For the foals, and the girls, Last Chance Corral is a life-changing experience.
Tender Mercies is the fourth book in the Sonrise Stable series - the heartwarming, continuing story of an extended homeschooling family as they live, learn, and love together. Mixing adventure, life lessons, and realistic horse experiences, the series is a must for readers who enjoy family values, Christian faith, and, of course, horses!”
Series: Book #4 in the “Sonrise Stable” series. (Book #1’s review Here! Book #2’s review Here! Book #3’s review Here!)

My personal
Rating-
{Girls sensitive
to animals might want to skip this one due to the mentions of animal abuse.}
I liked “Clothed With Thunder” much better this one due to the content in “Tender Mercies”. Animal abuse—and even
mentions of it—isn’t a very easy thing to read. I really recommend a parent
read this book prior to the girl reading it due to the topics. It would open up
discussion and possibly even a field trip after reading this book.
See
y’all tomorrow with a new Pre-Teen Week review!
