On this page, you’ll find books for girls ages 13-14, or as we refer to them, the New Teen Girls. This age group can be tricky to review for due to some families being okay with light romance and other families preferring no romance content for this age group. Because of this, books with very light romance (such as the hints to possible future romance for the main character and/or mentions of side characters’ romances or crushes) will have one heart by the title and those where the main character has a love interest/romance or crush will have two hearts by the title.
Though this list is full of books I personally recommend for this age group, I would also suggest checking out the page for the 9-12 age range to see if any of those books would also interest a reader, especially if she enjoys middle-grade books. There are some books on both pages that could work for either age group and listed on both.
Note: There might be more books in the series than listed, these are the only ones we have reviewed and can recommend as of right now. Please know that if we haven’t read all the books in the series, we cannot recommend the series as a whole and hope to continue reviewing the series at a later date.
