Kate is one of my favorite girls in the Camp Club Girls series, so I was happy to re-read her first book. Kate has fun tech gadgets that are interesting to read about, and this book was all about a mystery with a baseball player!

What a wild ride to finish off this series! It’s no secret that I love the name Cassia and I also love Janice Thompson books, so this book had the makings of a winner for me. I will admit that I did feel wore out at times with Cassia’s family and the feud, but I really liked the ending—even though it was bittersweet!

Since these books are written by many different authors (Emily Thomas is a pen name) around the same time, I did notice a couple inconsistencies in this book following the prior book. But, oh, boy! Wouldn’t I love to explore Aunt Edie’s attic! I did get lost a few times when all the play stuff and names were being mentioned as that’s not really my thing. It was an interesting mystery, though.
