"Where You Lead" by Leslea Wahl

About this book:

  “A vision from God leads to the adventure of a lifetime.
  Sixteen-year-old Eve Donahue’s lonely existence changes in an instant when visions of a mysterious stranger haunt her. Certain God is calling her for a mission, she bravely says yes and begins her quest to meet this young man.
  Thousands of miles away, Nick Hammond has been dealing with his own unusual experience, an unwavering certainness to convince his father to run for political office.
  When these two unlikely teens finally meet, their belief that God has called them to work together sets them on a journey of faith to untangle a web of deception involving international trade agreements, lost confederate gold, and a blossoming romance. As they follow century old clues, they realize God can call us all in big and small ways. We just need to listen and say, “Yes Lord, I will go where You lead.””

My personal Rating-

{Add ½ star for those who enjoy history.}
{Add ½ star for those okay with a couple kisses between older teens.}
Pretty sure I haven’t fangirled this hard since the beginning of this year over “The Story People”. I am currently at a loss for words because I squealed, squeed, laughed and melted a bit over different times when reading this book. Eve? Eve was fantastic, and I think we would get along swimmingly. The things that Eve would say and pray felt so very real to me and things I would personally say. Nick was a gentleman and his siblings were hoots. I love that both teens had relationships with their parents and the conversations they would have. Also, the willingness between both Nick and Eve for doing what they felt God calling them to do was so great. I just love that message so much! Their first meeting is going down as one of my favorites ever. The second-hand embarrassment was so high! Hahaha! I thought the romance was so sweet and the mystery with historical details interesting as well. I can definitely see fans of Ally Carter enjoying this book, knowing that it is a cleaner book with faith content is included.

See y’all on Wednesday with a new review!
