"My So-Called Love Life" by Allie Pleiter

About this book:

“A cartoon character is ruining my love life! Yes, it's true. I'm the voice of Maggy Hoot, the wisecracking owl from the hit animated series "Arborville." And as soon as any cute or eligible or even "breathing" guy realizes what I do for a living, the relationship is over before it's started.
I'm actually Lindy Edwards, a smart, educated woman who would really like to get past the third date with a nice Christian man without having to give a hoot-owl impersonation. Is that too much to ask?”

My personal Rating-
This was a fun read for different reasons, but I loved the unique element of Lindy talking to the reader. The writing style was very entertaining, and I enjoyed those aspects.
There were a few parts I wasn’t a fan of (mainly when Lindy would comment on her weight/figure/calories, but also the mentions of suicides and an attempt later by a character; thankfully it ends okay).
There also was a lot of faith content and lessons that I liked seeing. I think I’ll continue looking into more of the older Love Inspired books.

See y’all on Friday with a new review!
