"My Amish Boyfriend" by Melody Carlson {Review & Giveaway!}

{First a little announcement, I'll be seeing/meeting the very talented author, Beverly Lewis, on April 7th (one month from today!!) on her book tour...so every Monday & Friday we'll post a review of one of her books! Starting the 10th of this month and ending the 7th of April.

Now back to your regular scheduled programming ;) }

About this book:

“Sixteen-year-old Shannon McNamara has exciting plans for the summer, and she can't wait to get to them. Unbeknownst to her, however, her widowed and ailing mother has plans of her own--to relocate them both to the heart of Amish country in Ohio where she has relatives who can look after her. Shannon quickly learns that living a "simple" life is actually a lot of hard work. But when a hot young Amish guy named Ezra enters the picture, she's ready to get an Amish makeover and even consider making it a permanent change. But does Ezra share her attraction? Will Shannon really make the jump into this new way of life? And will it be for the right reasons?”

 Series: Nope.

Spiritual Content- Exodus 20:4 in written; Talks about God; Shannon prays and is inspired by the Amish.

Negative Content- In the beginning of the book, Shannon is a bit rebellious (like wanting a tattoo); Kids drink beer.

Sexual Content- Ezra kisses Shannon quite a few times, kinda detailed.

  While I liked this book, I honestly cannot stand the cover. (Shannon is described having copper colored hair) I found it totally different from “normal” Amish books (i.e. Beverly Lewis, Cindy Woodsmall, Amy Clipston), but a good different.
  Now, I bit of a story (‘cause I know y’all like those. :) ) I got my copy from Book Fun to review, the next day I found out I won a copy from the author, Melody Carlson, so I have an extra copy to giveaway! A “Thank you for 5000 page views!” kind of giveaway! I can only ship to the USA, sorry y'all.
