"The Truth About Godly Confidence" by Kristin N. Spencer {Teen Week!}

{Welcome to Teen Week! Every quarter we're going to try and do a Teen Week! A week where every weekday has a new review of a Christian book written just for teens! You’re reading the last day of this quarter's! :) } {Day 1 Here!} {Day 2 Here!} {Day 3 Here!} {Day 4 Here!}

About this book:

  “ “God does not make any mistakes, and in His creative plan for us as His children, He is purposeful and specific.”
  As a young woman I was often told that I had low self-esteem. I did not understand what true confidence was, and this negatively affected every aspect of my life. Over the last ten years, God has taken me on a journey to discover the truth about godly confidence. Although it was painful and sometimes I resisted, I would not trade those lessons for anything.
  Are you tired of the unrealistic expectations that the world places on your appearance and personality? Have you experienced dark times in your past, hurtful friendships, or the despair of loneliness? This book is for you. As a plus-sized woman of God, I understand what it is like to have insecurities. Join me in a conversation where we will talk about all of the things no one feels comfortable mentioning in relation to confidence and self-esteem. At the end of our discussion, you will be faced with a choice; either you can choose to believe what God has written in the Bible about His love for you, or you can choose the wide path full of miserable and deceived company. Which path will you follow? I hope that like me, you will finally be set free from the lies that Satan uses to make us feel worthless and unconfident.”

Series: Non-fiction/Devotional.

Spiritual Content- Over 190 Scriptures are quoted, referenced or mentioned; All about God, His unconditional love, Godly confidence, pride, humility, insecurities, God’s will & trusting Him;  ‘H’s are capital when referring to God & Jesus; Many mentions & talks about those in the Bible; A few prayers.

My personal Rating-

The author makes some excellent points in this non-fiction. But, not necessarily the best for teens at some parts. Mentions of adult things (spouses, being a parent, etc.) made the ratings lower, though I wish I could have done a bit of a higher rating because the author was quite informative.

And that’s the last review of Teen Week! I hope y’all found a new book to read! :)
See y’all on Monday with a new review!

*BFCG may (Read the review to see) recommend this book by this author. It does not mean I recommend all the books by this author.
*I received this book for free from the Author for this honest review.

My personal Rating-

{Add a ½ star for girls who have read the previous books in the series.}
Aww. Okay this was bittersweet. Bitter because of Raley (‘Nuff said right there, folks) and because it’s the last book in the series. Sweet because I’ve really enjoyed getting to know these girls (I still want to give Bianca a hug!) and it was fun seeing them all again. If you enjoyed the previous books in the series, you’ll probably like this last one as well. :)

See y’all Tomorrow with the last Teen Week review!
