"A Texas Legacy Christmas" by DiAnn Mills {+ Giveaway!}

{{Congrats to Miss Christy W. for winning the copy of “Naomi’s Gift”! Please e-mail us at booksforchristiangirls (at) yahoo (dot) com to claim your prize! :) }}

{Merry CHRISTmas everyone! Every Monday, Wednesday & Friday in honor of our Savior’s birth there’ll be a new Christmas book review! With a couple giveaways sprinkled in, it’s going to be so much fun! Let’s start!}

About this book:

  “Zack Kahler thinks he is leaving New York City for home in Texas to publish his own newspaper, but a pair of six-year-old twins and a young woman from his past complicate the situation. What will this Christmas bring to this group of strangers now thrown together?

Series: This is book #4 of the “Texas Legacy” series. {As of posting this, I’m currently reading the first three of this series. It looks like they should be read in order, but they really aren’t for Teens. Best to just stick with this one. :) }

Spiritual Content- Many talks about God & His plans for us; Church going; Prayers & Thanks; Strong Faiths & Growing Faiths.

Negative Content- Minor cussing including: three ‘hush’s and six ‘stupid’s (five of those are repeated); Mentions of The Triangle Factory fire; Chloe’s father was abusive after her mother died and also drank (barely-above-not-detailed).

Sexual Content- Not-detailed kisses; Wanting to kiss (once only); Two not-detailed embraced; A mention that a boy/man tried to force himself on Chloe (she pulled a knife on him); Love, falling in love, and the emotions.

My personal Rating-

I was shocked to learn that this book was right up my alley! I knew that I knew this author…after researching on Goodreads I found out she’s the author of “Firewall”, a modern suspense book that I wasn’t a fan of. Needless to say, I was a bit worried about “A Texas Legacy Christmas”! Which I really didn’t need to do! It was really cute and pretty clean! I laughed many times at the twins & their antics! Now here’s a fun surprise! I’m giving away a copy of “A Texas Legacy Christmas”

*(And just in case you’re one of those who always tries to read series in order (which is fine! I’m one of those! ;) ) this is the cleanest one out of the series. So, just stick to reading this one, forgo the others in the series. Trust me. This author would be where you read our disclaimer at the end of every review. ;) We like this book, but not the other ones we’ve read by her.)

{USA only again, y’all. Sorry others! It’s expensive to ship anywhere else! Ends the 15th! Please make sure you do what you said you did! I got many entries that didn’t count because the person didn’t really do them! Yes, I check!}

See y’all on Friday with a new CHRISTmas review!

*BFCG may (Read the review to see) recommend this book by this author. It does not mean I recommend all the books by this author.

  1. Raiders from the Sea by Lois Walfrid Johnson, and the next book in the series Mystery of the Silver Coins. I love EVERYTHING by her. She has three series, two more for 10-13 year olds and the series mention above for teens :) They all have just enough romance to make it interesting(at least for me!) but they are labeled more as adventure books which they are. Okay mini fangirl rant and review over! LOL
