Liebster Award (Again & Again!) and a Contest!

Books for Christian Girls has been nominated twice for two more Liebster awards! Wow! Thank you so much!

Since Sofia Marie nominated me first I’ll answer her questions! :)

1. What time of day do you look forward to most?
Definitely night time! I curl up under my quilt and snuggle down with a book! The house is quite (do you know how hard it is to concentrate on a book when two dogs are barking?!) and I can just relax and do my review.   
2. What’s your favorite genre in fiction?
Look back at some of my first reviews, You’ll see I said Historical fiction wasn’t my favorite. Haha! That’s so not the case anymore! I love Historical fiction set in or after 1890. I also really like Dystopia! Two very different genres!
3. What sport do you like most, if any?
Not a sporty girl! I like NASCAR and baseball, but that’s about it. :)
4. What’s the funniest thing you heard (or did) today?
As of the day I’m writing this post, I just babysat my two “little sisters” (not really my sisters, but with how much we’re together we should be! ;) ) and we watched the new Veggie Tales, “Celery Night Fever” and we had lots of fun listening to the “funky” music!
5. Do you/did you like being a teenager?
Ummm. I don’t know. I like blogging! :)
6. Who is your favorite author?
Well, this is hard! I’ll give you my top five authors, in no order: Amy Clipston, Robin Jones Gunn, Krista McGee, & Judy Baer {SO technically, that’s five but hey. I didn’t list all of my favorites…}   
7. Do you play any musical instruments?
I play piano! :)
8. How many hours a week do you spend in front of the computer (approximately)?
HAHAHA! *Don’t ask my Mom! She’ll say every hour!* A week? Oh, I don’t know!
9. Do you believe music relieves stress? Do books do a better job?
It depends! I don’t have much time to just listen to music, when I’m cleaning my room I’ll put some on.
10. What’s your favorite color?
I love that Robin Egg’s Blue with a hint of sea green…I don’t know what it’s called!
11. You’ve been given three work-free child-free chore-free study-free hours. What are you going to do?

1.      Who is your favorite celebrity and why?

I don’t really have a favorite celebrity…I don’t really care about that! I’m too interested in my authors! ;)

2.      What was your favorite TV show as a child?

Hmmm…I really liked Blue’s Clues.

3.      How many selfies do you take on average each day?

None! None! And None! I do not like taking my picture!

4.      Loud music or quiet music?

In Between!

5.      What is the highest heel you have ever worn?

I own a 3inch but I’ve tried much higher at malls. ;)

6.      What fictional character do you most relate to?

Oh! I don’t know! I don’t really look at that!

7.      Cake or Ice Cream?

How about Ice Cream Cake?! :D

8.      Fantasy or Sci-fi?

Dystopia is somewhat in between those, so I’ll go with that! :)

9.      Current favorite TV Show, Movie, and Book

10.  TV Show- I find Littlest Pet Shop very cute; Movie- Frozen; Book- C.J. Darlington’s “Jupiter Winds”.

11.  Video/Computer Games or Board Games?

  I love Monopoly! I have a sign on my bedroom door that says “Welcome to Reading Railroad”! My room is full of books!

13.  Best blog post you have done(Please link!)

Hmmm…I don’t really think I have a best blog post! What have been y’all’s favorite I’ve done??

1. This is the second award I’ve been nominated for this year!
2. I was on track for all of January & February to read a book a day and do 365 books this year…took a day off from reading and got off track. Maybe next year! ;)
3. I’m terrified of the dentist. “Don’t you dare put your hand in my mouth!”  
4. Okay, this one some of you might know this…the only "brand name" items I care about are cameras....I’m a Canon Crazy and hiss at Nikons! No, I’m not kidding. (Just ask my Momma!) I'm a Photographer and love my Canon Rebel T2i. :)
5. I’m trying to get High School done in Two years. (Yes, crazy I know.)
6. My favorite food is organic potatoes with butter & sea salt. Or just organic potato chips. In all honesty, I just adore potatoes.
7. I’m excited about the movie “Cars 3” coming soon because "Cars 2" makes my top five favorite movies list.
8. And on the cars topic, NASCAR is my favorite sport and, just happens to be, the only sport I can watch without falling asleep.
9. In real life, (A.K.A. face-to-face) I get along better with adults or young kids than girls my age or a bit younger & older.
10. I just had my piano recital and played "Let It Go". :)

Q&A

1. How long have you been reading?

Since I was little…but once I got to the chapter book level I didn’t like reading!

2. What is your favorite book, and why?

Hahaha! That’s funny! Wait, what? One favorite book? I can’t do that! That would be so mean to all my other books I adore!

3. If you could live in any fictional world, what world would it be?

Fictional world…hmmm…I can’t think of a fictional world I’d like to live in. 

4. What are your top five favorite TV shows?

5. Do you like when books are made into TV shows or movies?

Eh, not really. Only because they leave out so much! Do not even get me started on the Left Behind books & movies! And then they’re remaking the first movie now?! Argh! 

6. What is your favorite genre of book?

It’s funny, back when I first started this blog I would put on the Historical books “I’m not a fan of historical books but...” Hahaha! Historical is definitely my favorite, Amish right after that.  

7. If you could be any character in a book which character would you choose and why?

I can’t answer this one….every book I’ve read the main (female) character has been through something (losing a spouse, parent, etc) that I don’t think I could do…I’d rather be myself and let The Lord do what He wants with me. 

8. Who is your all-time favorite book boyfriend/girlfriend?

Eleanor & Marcus from “A Beauty so Rare” by Tamera Alexander for Historical; Amelia & Michael from “The Fiddler” by Beverly Lewis for Amish; and for modern Cassia & Adam from “Million Dollar Dilemma” by Judy Baer.

9. What is your favorite song and band?

I only listen to Christian music and right now I really like “Got that Fire” by Royal Tailor. Favorite Bands are: Royal Tailor, Manic Drive, Capital Kings, Superchick, Anthem Lights and the list goes on and on.

10. Other than reading, what do you like to do in your spare time?

Spare Time? What’s that? I’ve never heard of it! Hahaha, but I’m not kidding!  I do American Heritage Girls (it’s a Christian scouting organization for girls ages 5-18) and love it! I also am trying to do four years of High School in two (I don’t know if I’ve said I’m homeschooled? Well, I am! :) ) Plus I’m a blogger! I try to read 6-8 books a week so I’m very busy!
